Urban Clippings is a floating box and viewing portal that crops frames of the city. Like a kaleidoscope, the cutout windows around this object frame the surrounding urban environment, and reflect back to its interiority. Visitors are invited to walk into the cutouts from the bottom of the object and view the floating clippings of the city. As a double-mirror, the image of oneself is reflected back onto the mirrors. The infinite depth of the environment repeats the visitor into a visual echo.
