This project is a collection of ten studies of downtown Los Angeles, represented in the format of a graphic novel. Downtown Los Angeles has many unseen stories hidden beneath its surface. Through a series of urban analysis, this project is also a work of speculative journalism. In this body of work, we looked at the city as a 2.5-D landscape, a city of multiple speeds, a mid-COVID vacancy issue, a city with a flying fleet of anti-social spaces, and more. An epilogue of this story took a closer look at the building One Wilshire.
