The Field House is an outdoor installation, but also a 1:1 model of a house.
By re-using the fencing material from prior music festivals, Field House is a domestic structure composed entirely of living rooms. An interior with no corridors and no particular notions of private zones, this project asks questions about the nature of domestic settings if the program is not predetermined. Sectionally, Field House is a sandwich of compressive and expansive spaces. Sequenced in a series of three zones, some of the exterior spaces are led into interior territories, producing small courtyard conditions. As a 1:1 model of a house, Field House sheltered visitors from the summer sun. It served as a successive series of frames that staged interactions between people on a hot afternoon.
