Soft Rock is an outdoor furniture in a housing complex in Los Angeles.

The curves of this project were derived from the ergonomics of the human body, as well as anticipated social interactions between people. In collaboration with Wrinkle, an office from Mexico City, we carved the curved out of locally sourced pink stone. As people get off work in the early evening, the materiality of these benches becomes an excellent thermal mass for the residents to congregate and enjoy.
