When I Grow Up is a short story in the format of a graphic novel. It was originally published in the final issue of Praxis by the invitation of Ashley Schafer.
This is a story about three kindergarteners on graduation day, talking to each other about what they would like to do when they grow up. They each described their future houses and future place of work. As they realize they are on the verge of farewell, they begin to imagine all these future houses and workplaces combined to become one single building.
This story was later exhibited at the Inside Outside Between Beyond exhibition at SFMOMA in 2017. It was also a source material for the models in the exhibition.
